LR KAILAI WITEZ
Kailai Head Study
LR Kailai Witez It is with great sadness we announce that we had to put Kailai down on January 30, 2006 due to complications of osteoarthritis.  Both his stifle joints were litteraly worn out.  After a year of trying to get him sound and to control his great pain, we made the decision to have him euthanized.  We miss him very much.

LR KAILAI WITEZ 379863
(El Nigadin x Genesis Kohli) 4/22/87 Blue-Black Stallion.
SCID TESTED CLEAR. Kailai is bred for performance. Based on a sound foundation, Kailai's pedigree includes *Witez II, Raseyn, *Raffles, *Mirage and *Fadl, just to name a few great American Foundation stallions in his heritage.

A champion cutting horse in Arabian and All-Breed competition, Kailai was campaigned for 3 1/2 years and built a very impressive Show Record. After traveling thousands of miles and hundreds of hours in training, Kailai finished his show career fit and very sound. Kailai's first foals, two blue-black colts and a bay filly, were born in 1993.

Kailai's first son, Niga Free was our Junior Stallion for two years.  After siring two foal crops, Niga was gelded and trained as a working ranch horse. He was sold to a cattle ranch in Wyoming where he became an excellent roping horse. Due to unforeseen circumstances in the Fall of 1999, Niga was put up for sale and we purchased him back.  He is now back home to stay.

Kailai's second blue-black son Surprise Free, aka "Jet", is proving himself as a sire of excellent foals. He has his own herd of broodmares, including four purchased from Rushcreek especially for him. Jet is also an all around working cowhorse on the ranch. Kailai's first daughter has joined her brother in Wyoming.  Summer Free is proving to be an exceptional working cowhorse and has shown interest in cutting cattle.  In addition to working cattle, Summer Free is doubling as a broodmare and had a beautiful black colt  in 1999.

Kailai at Vernal, UtahKailai continues to sire correct, athletic foals, putting his nearly perfect 45 degree shoulder on the majority of his progeny. His foals also have nice short backs, even from long-backed mares. Kailai has the most amazing, hard round feet and he has never worn shoes. His foals have consistently inherited Kailai's feet and legs. Having a somewhat plain head himself, Kailai's foals have very nice heads. Especially out of mares with pretty heads. Kailai's progeny are very athletic and trainable.

Proud owners of Kailai sons and daughters are in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and most recently Wisconsin.
