The "Bay Family" Boys
STORM FREE 496826
(BF Triumph x Fancey Free) 14.2 HH 5/26/93 Grey Gelding.
Star, right hind partial coronet, left hind inside coronet.

“Stormy” left our ranch when he was 2 1/2 years old.  He matured into the beautiful horse you see under the loving care of Kara Taylor on her Wyoming cattle ranch. Kara has shown and won prizes on Stormy at local county fairs, taken him on pack trips in the high mountains surrounding their ranch, and has used him extensively as the “dude horse” for visiting non-horsey friends and family.  He also was the emergency substitute cow horse when other horses were not available.

Stormy is absolutely bomb-proof, a wonderful horse for everyone from little children to senior citizens.  It is for this reason we are so happy to be able to get Stormy back. We seem to sell our young geldings before they are even trained under saddle.  For the past year we have been trying to find a young horse that our small grandchildren can learn to ride.  Up to this time, the only really safe horse for them to ride is our old foundation mare, Miss Bay Bee.  “Bay” will be 29 years old in May 2002 and just happens to be Stormy’s maternal granddam. Stormy has a Classic CMK pedigree and is the kind of horse we are proud to call a Freeman Family Arabian.

Stormy is now owned by our grandson who received him as his 11th birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa.

Robin Taylor is leading Stormy and riding Niga in the above 1999 photo.

STAR ZEE FREE 531866
(Free Zee x Shadow Bay Free) 4/19/96 Bay CMK Gelding.
Star, both hind socks.

Bred from proven performance lines, Star Zee is on his way  to becoming a top performance horse. A grandson of our two foundation mares, Miss Bay Bee and Fae Farwa, and the fabulous cutting horse sire Xenophonn, Star Zee's pedigree assures performance capability. Star Zee's maternal grandsire was our Foundation Stallion, BF Triumph (Gai-Parada x Gaffi).

Star Zee has what we call the "Bay Family" Attitude.  This group of horses are from our Foundation Mare, Miss Bay Bee.  They are so people oriented that all we have to do is wait for them to grow up.  There is no "breaking" of these horses.  They are ready to ride as soon as they are old enough to carry a rider.

When Bay was two years old, our son (then ten years old) started riding her in the corral with only a halter.  This was without our knowledge.  We learned what was happening when he wanted to take Bay out of her corral for a ride. Bay died at 29½ years old. Our 3 grand children rode her in a 100 acre pasture without any tack at all.

Star Zee's dam is Bay's second daughter Shadow Bay Free.  Shadow went into training as a four-year-old.  After only 10 days of riding by her trainer, Wade put his five-year-old daughter into the saddle.  Kaila rode Shadow daily for the remaining 10 weeks of Shadow's training.

In the photo, Kara Taylor is taking Star Zee for his first outside ride, only the second time he was saddled.  As you can see, it was just another regular day for both.  Star Zee is our third generation "Kid's Horse".  It is in his blood and he is going to be one of the best!  Our grandchildren are grown now and we are offering Star Zee for sale.

Mo Jo FreeMO JO FREE 563445
(Hucks Premier V x Dawn Free) 04/27/99 Bay CMK Gelding
Star, strip, snip, upper lip, lower lip.  Right front coronet, left front pastern, both hind stockings. (Weanling Photo)

Dawn Free is one or our two full sisters out of our Foundation Mare Miss Bay Bee.  Dawn is also the last foal from Bay.  Her sire BF Triumph (Gai-Parada x Gaffi) was our first stallion.  Mo Jo Free is a beautiful bay gelding sired by the Varian-bred stallion, Hucks Premier V.  "Huck" is a son of Huckleberry Bey and out of the Khemosabi daughter, Pavane V.
<>Joe is trained under western tack and is a great Western Pleasure prospect as a show horse.  In "real life" Joe is a fine pleasure trail horse.  His loving dispositon makes his a great companion.  Photo was taken while in training with Wade Allred.  The task was to move the buffalo out of the arena so we could see Joe work.  The buffalo were not being very co-operative.

A baby photo is shown on Joe's pedigree.  Since we are limited on space, Joe is being offered For Sale.

(Hucks Premier V x Shadow Bay Free)
04/29/99 Bay Gelding, Star, right front sock, left front stocking, right hind stocking.

In 1999 two colts were born at Freeman Arabians.  Shadow Bay Free and Dawn Free are full sisters out of our Foundation Mare Miss Bay Bee and sired by BF Triumph.  Each one presented us with a gorgeous bay colt sired by Sheila Varian's young stallion, Hucks Premier V.  Hucks is a son of Huckleberry Bey and has been chosen by Sheila to fill his deceased sire's place in the Varian Arabians breeding program.  The colts were Amigo Free and Mo Jo Free.

<>Amigo is a big black bay that resembles his sire.  Due to the serious drought in western Colorado, in the spring of 2003 we made the hard decision to geld Amigo and offer him for sale.  Amigo matured at 15 HH.  This photo was taken shortly after we weaned Amigo.  An earlier photo is shown on Amigo's pedigree.                                     AMIGO HAS BEEN SOLD.
